1st Phase:

Format:
10 teams, each plays the others once - for a total of 9 games each, over 9 game weeks.

Scoring points:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.

Table order:
1. points won; 2. games won; 3. total goal difference; 4. total goals scored; 5. points in head-to-head matches; 6. goal difference in hth matches; 7. goals scored in hth matches; 8. lesser number of red cards received; 9. lesser number of yellow cards received; 10. draw.

Qualification for 2nd Phase:
1-8 place: qualify for 2nd Phase

Relegation from the league:
9-10 place: relegated to Terceira Divisão

Promotion to the league:
2 teams from Terceira Divisão


2nd Phase:
------------

Format:
8 teams from the 1st Phase are distributed into 2 groups of 4 teams each (Groups 1-2), based on their 1st Phase standings:
Group 1: 1st, 4th, 5th and 8th;
Group 2: 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th.
Each team plays the others from its own group twice - home and away - for a total of 6 games each, over 6 game weeks.

Scoring points:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.

Table order:
1. points won; 2. games won; 3. total goal difference; 4. total goals scored; 5. points in head-to-head matches; 6. goal difference in hth matches; 7. goals scored in hth matches; 8. lesser number of red cards received; 9. lesser number of yellow cards received; 10. draw.

Qualification for the Championship Final:
1 place of each group: qualify for the Championship Final


Championship Final:
------------

Format:
2 teams from the 2nd Phase contest the Paranaense 2 champion in a knockout format.

Final:
The two teams meet each other with the winner becoming Paranaense 2 champion.
Winner is decided over two legs.
The team with better 1st Phase and 2nd Phase combined record hosts the second leg.

Tie-breakers for the knockout matches over two legs:
1. aggregate score from the two legs, 2. penalties.

Relegation to the league:
2 teams from Paranaense 1

Promotion from the league:
1-2 place: promoted to Paranaense 1
